I used to promote awareness of my tutoring via a website called First Tutors. I had reviews going back several years, but when the website suddenly closed in May 2026, these reviews (all 5 stars)seemed lost to me. However I was ultimately able to get a "dump" of many of them from the remnants of the company, some of which are as shown (unedited) below.

My son has been going to John for A level tutoring for nearly 3 months now. He tells me the teaching is great. It is presented in a very clear way, that is well structured and understandable. My son enjoys his lessons and he feels his understanding of the topic is growing

After my son started studying Maths in 6th Form at grammar school, it became clear very quickly that the complexity level was muchharder, than it was in GCSE. My son was lacking a spark and motivation that histeacher at secondary school was giving to him and so the feedback from hiscurrent school techer didn't sound promising. Therefore, I started looking for atutor, who not only would be a highly experienced and knowledgeable Mathsteacher, but who would also be able to raise a genuine interest in subject. When Isaw John's profile, I felt that this could be exactly what I was looking for. After thevery first lesson my son was impressed by the teaching approach John offered and felt immediate trust to him. My son has been trying to follow all the advicesJohn's giving and as a result his Maths predicted grade is now A* and Maths is thefavorite subject again. I cannot recommend John highly enough as a wonderful and talented teacher and both me and my son feel very confident that the best results will be achieved at A level exam.
